Making Quality Early Learning Accessible for Every Family

At Spring Early Learning, we believe every child deserves exceptional early education, regardless of family circumstances. The Australian Government’s Child Care Subsidy (CCS) can reduce your out-of-pocket costs by up to 95%, making our premium Narangba centre more accessible than you might think.

Our interactive calculator helps you understand exactly what you’ll pay, with no surprises and complete transparency. But we go further – our Family Support Team offers personalised guidance to ensure you’re maximising every entitlement available to your family.

  • Maximise your entitlements, including the 3-Day Guarantee

We value working closely with families every step of the way. Use our CCS calculator to explore how affordable quality care can be, or reach out to our team for a helping hand.

Great News: The 3-Day Guarantee from January 2026

From 5 January 2026, every CCS-eligible family receives at least 72 hours of subsidised care per fortnight (3 days per week), regardless of work or study commitments.

What This Means for Your Family

  • Stay-at-home parents: Your child can attend 3 days per week with CCS support
  • Part-time workers: Guaranteed minimum subsidised hours even with reduced activity
  • Job seekers: Maintain consistent care while looking for work
  • Flexible families: Access quality early education without the activity test stress

Higher Subsidy Rates from July 2025

  • Families earning under $85,279: 90% subsidy
  • Additional child subsidy: Up to 30% more CCS for multiple children
  • First Nations children: Automatic 100 hours per fortnight
  • Annual cap increases: More total subsidy available yearly

Spring’s Commitment: We’ll help you understand exactly how these changes benefit your family and ensure you receive every dollar of support you’re entitled to.

Understanding Your Child Care Subsidy

~

How is my CCS calculated?

Your Child Care Subsidy is determined by three key factors:

  1. Combined family income: Higher subsidies for lower incomes, tapering as income increases
  2. Activity level: Hours of work, study, volunteering, or job seeking (minimum 72 hours guaranteed from Jan 2026)
  3. Type of care: Centre-based care (like Spring) has an hourly rate cap of $14.63 (2025/26)

Good news: Spring’s fees are structured to maximise your CCS benefit, meaning you receive the full subsidy percentage you’re entitled to.

What about the 5% withholding?

The government withholds 5% of your CCS throughout the year as a safeguard against overpayment. If you’ve accurately estimated your income, you’ll receive this 5% back after balancing at the end of the financial year.

Spring’s support: We help families keep their income estimates current with Centrelink to avoid surprises at tax time.

Can I get additional support?

  • Many families qualify for Additional Child Care Subsidy (ACCS) which can increase support to 95% or 120 hours per fortnight. You may be eligible if you:
  • Are experiencing temporary financial hardship
  • Have a child at risk of serious abuse or neglect
  • Are transitioning to work from income support
  • Have exceptional circumstances

Our team can identify if you might qualify and guide you through the application process.

What if my circumstances change?

Life changes – and your CCS can adapt. Common changes that affect your subsidy include:

  • Change in employment status or work hours
  • Increase or decrease in family income
  • Change in relationship status
  • Birth of another child

Spring’s difference: We proactively help families update their Centrelink information to maintain correct entitlements.

How do I apply for CCS?

Applying is straightforward, and we’re here to help:

  1. Create a myGov account and link to Centrelink (if you haven’t already)
  2. Complete the CCS assessment with your family and income details
  3. Enrol your child at Spring – we’ll handle the provider details
  4. Confirm your enrolment through Centrelink
  5. Your subsidy applies automatically to your fees

Guided support: Our Family Support Team can walk you through each step, ensuring you complete the application correctly.

Queensland Kindergarten Funding

Queensland families with children in their kindergarten year may qualify for additional state-funded hours on top of federal CCS:

  • Eligibility: Children in the year before school (typically 4-5 years old)
  • Benefit: Up to 15 hours per week of funded kindergarten program
  • How it works: Reduces your out-of-pocket costs on top of CCS
  • At Spring Early Learning: Our qualified educators deliver a QLD-approved kindergarten curriculum

Maximum support: When you combine CCS + Queensland Kindy Funding, your kindy year can be highly affordable while receiving premium early education.
